DTD builds expeditions around one idea: take a capable group where training can go further than home allows, and give them depth that cannot be bought off a shelf, led by people the work shaped. Everything around the training is carried for you, so the group thinks about the training and nothing else. Open enrolment does not exist here: a programme forms around one client's closed group, minimum group sizes apply, and most run one to three weeks. An unforgettable experience is not something we promise. It just keeps happening.
Capability streams
Three streams and a capstone. Any block below can join a programme; open a stream to see what it holds.
Immediate Care
The first minutes decide most outcomes. This block trains immediate care under realistic pressure: stopping catastrophic bleeding, keeping an airway open and turning a casualty into someone who can be moved, with the equipment a team actually carries.
Keeping an airway open when everything is loud
Stopping catastrophic bleeding, and keeping it stopped
Rapid assessment and clean handover language
Getting a casualty out of danger without making things worse
Improvised solutions when the kit is gone
Sustained Casualty Care
When evacuation is hours or days away, treatment becomes management. Participants hold a casualty over time: monitoring, medication windows, wound care, records and the hard decisions that keep someone alive a long way from a hospital.
Structured monitoring through a long hold
Wound management and infection control over days
Warmth, fluids and pain in sustained care
Remote clinical advice folded into decisions
Choosing the moment to move, and how
Care on the Move
Treatment does not pause because the platform moves. This block puts medicine into motion: packaging, securing and treating a casualty in vehicles and aboard aviation platforms, where space, noise and vibration change every task.
Packaging a casualty for rough movement
Care continued inside a moving platform
Working in noise, vibration and poor light
Handover into higher care done properly
Remote and Complex Terrain
Operating away from roads and resupply: navigating, moving and living in country that punishes mistakes, by day and after dark.
Navigation with electronics and without them
Movement and camp discipline in remote country
Water, heat and load management
Small-team drills in broken ground
Independent Communications
Staying connected where networks end. Planning and running communications for a small team beyond infrastructure, and keeping the link alive when conditions degrade.
Communications planning for a small team
Voice and data beyond network coverage
Antennas, power and field expedients
Procedures for a degrading link
Built Environments
Working in and around structures and populated areas: reading spaces, moving through them and staying oriented where sightlines are short and decisions come fast.
Reading a structure before committing to it
Team coordination in confined spaces
Transitions between open ground and buildings
Short-range decision drills
Vehicle and Platform Mobility
Wheels and wings carry the expedition: off-road platforms, ordinary vehicles and specialist machines, with fixed-wing and rotary aviation woven in wherever the programme wants it.
Vehicle handling away from made roads
Loading, recovery and breakdown drills
Working safely around live platforms
Aviation integrated for movement and medical play
Precision on Demand
Marksmanship as a working skill: accuracy on demand from close work to extended distance, measured and coached until it holds up when it matters.
Fundamentals under time and accountability
Positional work and use of support
Stretching effective range with a duty rifle
Progress measured against standards
Shooting Under Duress
Capability that survives contact with reality: running a weapon while hurt, exhausted or down to one hand, and solving problems without stopping.
One-handed operation and manipulation
Working from the ground and from cover
Clearing stoppages under stress
Treating yourself without leaving the problem
Working in Darkness
The dark is a working environment, not an obstacle. Participants run the night on the same class of image-intensified equipment DTD itself supplies, from movement and signature discipline to live problem-solving after last light.
Working under image intensification
Light discipline and signature control
Team coordination in darkness
Live problems run after last light
The Final Problem
A programme can close with a full exercise: a scenario that pulls the trained blocks into one continuous problem, run into the night where the group's new capability shows. Casualties appear, plans degrade, and the group finishes knowing exactly what it can do.
A scenario built from the programme's own blocks
Sustained play across terrain and platforms
Casualty play threaded through the whole exercise
A structured debrief against stated outcomes
Building a programme
Each stream breaks into blocks, and blocks combine into one programme shaped to the mission and the group. Content is added or removed on request; a quotation follows the requirement.
Around the training
Airport transfer, accommodation at the standard you choose and catering are all arranged and sit inside one total, so the group's whole attention stays on the training.
Access and screening
Closed groups only: government elements and vetted private groups. The travel deserves depth, which is why extended stays are the norm here.
Every enquiry is screened. Parties to active conflicts and sanctioned jurisdictions are excluded by DTD Systems GmbH, permanently.
See the standard
Photography and video from previous programmes exist and are deliberately not published. For serious enquiries we share them directly, so a group knows exactly what it is committing to before it commits.
