DTD Jerry 31
DTD Jerry 31
A binocular for people who want both eyes working without carrying the weight that usually comes with it. At 480 grams without a battery it is one of the lighter dual-tube devices you can buy, and it sits unusually close to the face, which keeps your head profile low and the leverage off your neck.
The eye pods articulate, so you can set them to your face properly rather than living with someone else's idea of the right spacing. An infrared illuminator is built in for close work.
Bring your helmet to Villmergen and we will fit it, by appointment.

Questions before you buy
Why choose this over the PVS-31 or the 1431?
The Jerry 31 is our budget binocular. It carries a fixed, non-gated tube set rather than a choice of autogated tubes, which is what keeps the price down. It is also lighter and lower profile than most dual-tube devices, which some people prefer regardless of price.
What does non-gated mean in practice?
The tube does not automatically switch its voltage to protect itself when bright light enters the scene. In genuinely dark conditions you will not notice. Near strong light sources an autogated tube holds contrast better.
Why does the low profile matter?
It sits closer to your face, so there is less weight hanging forward off your helmet. Over several hours that is the difference between comfortable and sore.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. The showroom in Villmergen has a dark room for side-by-side comparison, by appointment.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. We run our own instalment plans in house for customers resident in Switzerland: at least 50 percent down, the balance split to suit you, and a modest interest rate. Ask us and we will put together an offer.
Do you ship outside Switzerland?
Yes: Switzerland, Liechtenstein and the EU and Schengen countries. Deliveries outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein need a signed End User Certificate; we send it after payment, complete the export clearance and dispatch with tracking.
Export and delivery
Export and delivery
Night vision and thermal devices ship to Switzerland, Liechtenstein and EU/Schengen countries only. Deliveries outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein require a signed End User Certificate: after payment we send you the certificate, you sign and return it, we complete Swiss export clearance, and your device is dispatched with tracking. If clearance cannot be obtained for your country, the order is refunded in full. Spare parts and accessories are not controlled goods: they ship without a certificate. Collection at the Villmergen showroom, by appointment, is free of charge.
