Shipping policy

Where we ship

We ship to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and all EU and Schengen countries.

We do not ship to Russia, Belarus, or any country under Swiss sanctions.

Shipping rates (insured)

Switzerland and Liechtenstein: free, 1 to 3 business days.

EU and Schengen: CHF 100, 5 to 10 business days.

Every shipment is fully insured. Transit times are counted from dispatch, not from the date you order.

Collection in person

You can collect your order from our showroom in Villmergen by appointment, free of charge. Call +41 76 225 50 04 or write to info@dtdsystems.ch to arrange it.

Dispatch

Apparel and accessories are dispatched within 2 to 3 business days of payment. Devices listed as in stock on the homepage are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days of payment. Devices built to order are typically ready to dispatch in about two weeks.

Night vision and thermal devices shipped outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein are dispatched once export documentation is complete, as set out below.

Export documentation for night vision and thermal devices

Night vision and thermal imaging equipment is controlled under Swiss export law and is administered by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). If your delivery address is outside Switzerland or Liechtenstein, we need paperwork from you before we can ship. We prepare it for you and guide you through it.

After your payment is received, we send you an End User Certificate to sign. You return it, we file the export application, and your device is dispatched with tracking once clearance is granted.

For destinations in the EU and EFTA, clearance is often granted within a few business days. Please allow up to 15 business days. We would rather quote you a date we can keep than a date we cannot.

The certificate confirms who will use the device and that it will not be passed on to anyone else in breach of Swiss export rules. We cannot ship without it.

If clearance cannot be obtained for your country, we cancel the order and refund you in full.

Orders within Switzerland and Liechtenstein, and orders for apparel, do not need a certificate.

VAT, import duty and customs

Our prices include Swiss VAT at 8.1%.

Deliveries to Switzerland and Liechtenstein are charged with Swiss VAT included, as shown.

For deliveries to any other country the sale is an export and is exempt from Swiss VAT, so the 8.1% is deducted automatically at checkout. You pay the lower price.

Import VAT and customs duty in your own country are then payable by you. The carrier collects them before delivery. These charges are set by your country, not by us, and they are not included in our prices.

Import VAT is typically between 19 and 25 percent of the declared value, so please plan for a meaningful additional amount on a device purchase.

We declare every shipment at its full value. We do not under-declare, and we cannot mark a device as a gift or a sample.

If you would rather know the exact figure before you order, write to info@dtdsystems.ch with your country and the device you want, and we will tell you what to expect.

Problems with your delivery

Check your shipment on arrival. If the packaging is visibly damaged, note it on the carrier's delivery record or refuse the parcel.

If anything is damaged or missing, email info@dtdsystems.ch within 7 days of delivery with photos of the packaging and the contents, and keep the original packaging. That window is what lets us recover from the carrier, so it helps us help you. Your statutory rights are not affected by it.

Every product carries a two-year guarantee. The full terms are in our Terms of service.
