Four tubes instead of two. That opens the view from a narrow circle to something close to how you actually see. Where a standard goggle gives you 40 degrees, this gives you 100.
The difference shows the moment you move. Cluttered ground, doorways, scanning wide country: the things that normally require you to turn your head are simply there in your peripheral vision. Each unit is collimated and tested as a matched set by the manufacturer, so the four images meet cleanly.

Which tube option should I choose?
Figure of merit (FOM) is signal-to-noise ratio multiplied by resolution. It ranks tubes on paper, but it does not describe noise behaviour, halo or edge sharpness. The higher option buys a cleaner image in less light.On the PNVG-18 the four options are GEN2+ NVT4 FOM1400+ AG, GEN2+ NVT5 FOM1600+ AG, GEN2+ NVT6 FOM1800+ AG and GEN2+ NVT7 FOM2000+ AG, all with white (P45) phosphor.
What does autogating do?
An autogated tube switches its voltage automatically to protect itself and hold contrast when bright light enters the scene, street lamps included.All four options listed here, from GEN2+ NVT4 FOM1400+ AG to GEN2+ NVT7 FOM2000+ AG, are autogated.
Why do matched tubes matter on a four-tube goggle?
Four tubes, but you see three circles: the two centre tubes overlap and your eyes fuse them into one, so the panorama reads as three images merged into a single wide picture. Any difference in brightness or tone between tubes shows up where they meet. Tubes are hand-picked as matched sets, and the manufacturer collimates and tests the assembled goggle before it ships, so it arrives aligned and needs nothing adjusting by you. A data sheet for each of the four tubes ships inside the box.
What is in the box?
The combo set includes the housing kit with lenses, a hard carrying case, the Universal Strobe Battery Pack with cable, four day filter caps and the LWNVM helmet mount.
Do I need an End User Certificate?
Complete devices and image intensifier tubes need a signed End User Certificate for delivery outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure how it applies to you.
Can I have green phosphor instead of white?
Yes, on request. Every device we list is built with white (P45), which renders the scene in greyscale, is easier to read over a long session, and is what almost every customer chooses. We do not normally hold green in stock, but we can source it on any tube in the range, and when green units are on the shelf they are listed on the homepage. Both types are available: P22 is the deeper, traditional night vision green with longer persistence, which some people read as a smoother image, and P43 is a lighter, slightly yellow-green tone with a narrower output spectrum and a faster decay, so fast movement smears less. Neither is better than white; it is preference, and the tube behind the screen determines actual performance. Tell us which you want and we will quote it.

Night vision and thermal devices ship to Switzerland, Liechtenstein and EU/Schengen countries only. Deliveries outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein require a signed End User Certificate: after payment we send you the certificate, you sign and return it, we complete Swiss export clearance, and your device is dispatched with tracking. If clearance cannot be obtained for your country, the order is refunded in full. Spare parts and accessories are not controlled goods: they ship without a certificate. Collection at the Villmergen showroom, by appointment, is free of charge.
