RAILINK is a pioneering power and data solution that forms the backbone of a scalable head-worn power management system, connecting and supplying energy to your helmet-mounted gear. It allows seamless integration of compatible accessories without the need for extra batteries or cable management. Developed and tested with extensive feedback from U.S. military users, RAILINK delivers next-generation connectivity, expanding your helmet system with new accessories.
To attach RAILINK Power and Data ARC Rails to a FAST helmet, the Ballistic Hardware Kit (SKU 03-94) is required, which includes left, right, and rear rail sections to accommodate the battery pack.
RAILINK ARC Rails combine industry-standard dovetail rails for mechanical accessory attachment with an integrated power and data network. Dedicated circuits provide both power and high-speed data to VAS, NVG, and other accessories from a single source. Smart Nodes connect accessories mechanically and electronically, offering both power and low-speed data. The universal VAS/NVG interface supports a wide range of night vision systems, including the latest fused thermal models, eliminating the need for external battery cables and reducing snag risks.
RAILINK enables connectivity across systems, allowing power and data to flow node-to-node and to the Battery Pack+, which can function as a controller to share information around the helmet and interface with other soldier systems. The system is both backward- and forward-compatible with all FAST High Cut helmets. By centralizing power, accessories can be smaller and mounted closer to the helmet’s center of gravity, reducing fatigue during extended use. Mounting outside the dovetail rail frees additional space for other gear, while single-source power simplifies operation by eliminating multiple battery types.
Tested to MIL-STD-461G EMI standards and MIL-STD-810H for impact and saltwater immersion, RAILINK operates in temperatures from -40°F to 130°F, with 0–95% non-condensing humidity, and survives transport up to 40,000 ft. Node voltage is 13V, with VAS auto-selecting 3V or 9V. Supported NVGs include PVS-31A/D, GPNVG ANVS/BNVS, ENVG-B, F-Pano, F-Bino, and others. System weight is 226 g (8 oz), available in Tan 499, and fits M–XXL Ops-Core FAST High Cut helmets.
